The Body Shop Cleansing Butter

Cleansing balms have quickly become a cult beauty must have. But with so many companies releasing one, how do you choose what’s right for you?

If you’re new to cleansing balms, they are solid cleansers that when warmed on the skin, turn into an oily consistency. Don’t be afraid, this is the 21st century, oil is good for all skin types! A balm cleanser will leave your skin feeling plump, clean and nourished. Trust me.

So you want to try a cleansing balm but you don’t want to spend a small fortune? Well I think I have the answer.

The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter is a really good alternative to other costly balms. It is gentle, yet effective at make up removal and leaves the skin feels ultra soft and smooth. The ingredients list isn’t its high point but that doesn’t stop it being a great product. It does contain a lot of synthetics and Shea Butter, which may not be suitable for oily, blemish prone skin. This being said, I am just that and I didn’t find that it broke me out or made me any more oily. As long as its washed off well, this product would work for anyone, especially if you’re a double cleanser like me or have dry skin! So if you’re new to the balm cleansing game, I would seriously recommend this.

Priced at only £10 and available here.

    1. I’m very oily skinned but balms have really helped balance my skin out. Also my whole morning routine has changed and I’ve really noticed the difference. I’ll post a morning skincare routine soon xx

  1. I want to get into cleansing balms but I don’t know where to begin. Haha thank you for this post! 🙂 I will check out TBS stores here and get me one!

  2. Thanks for sharing! Is this balm easy to cleanse off? I found that some of the cleansing balms are very hard to wash off and they leave residue. Thats why I don’t reach for cleansing balm that often!

  3. I recently went into a body shop store and i swatched a couple of their makeup products. When i asked for a wipe to take off the makeup the sales lady reached for this and applied it to the top of my hand and blended away! I was so amazed at how quickly the makeup came off and no residue was left after I wiped it off! good stuff for sure!
