Serious Glow

20140429-125135.jpg
After accidentally throwing my moisturiser all over the floor (any excuse for a new product!) I picked this little moisturiser up.
On sale at just £2.99 I didn’t expect much from this cream.
Described as being a brightening moisturiser with an SPF of 15, this cream is beautifully light reflecting without looking shiny. Packed with natural Hibiscus which acts as a gentle exfoliatate and Hyaluronic acid which adds serious moisture, this moisturiser is a serious contender for more high end products. (more…)

Feeling Sleepy

20140429-124658.jpgI don’t know about you guys, but I spend more of my bed time awake singing Beyonc lyrics in my head and wondering why I can’t sleep. I’ve never been someone that’s blessed in the sleep department. You won’t find me asleep on a train or in a car and it usually take me at least an hour to finally doze off. So its no surprise that sometimes this girl needs to call on the big guns to catch some zzz’s! And these little guys have really been a saviour recently.

Indeed Labs Pepta Bright

20140410-110254.jpg

Let’s rewind back to 2 years ago and my skin was a state! Bad skincare followed by very harsh blemish treatments left me spottier than ever and at a loss of what to do. I felt like the cosmetics industry had completely let me down. Products aimed at blemishes actually made my skin even spottier. What was I to do?

I decided one day to take things back to basics and use a gentle cleanser, toner and moisturiser. Now this seriously cleared up my skin, although it’s never been clearer until I began my current skincare routine.

Now that all these blemishes have disappeared, I’ve been left with red angry scars, that make me feel very self conscious. So I decided enough was enough and I turned to the only person I knew could help me, Caroline Hirons. After reading on her blog that she recommends Pepta Bright, as it reduced her scarring, I knew it was for me! (more…)

Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed Mask

20140410-151302.jpg

Face masks; you’ve probably gathered that they are not my favourite beauty product. Although I enjoy using them, I rarely find one that makes any real difference. On my quest to find the perfect face mask, I picked this up from Soap & Glory, the No Clogs Allowed Super Self Heating Mask. Designed to apparently deeply detox the pores, this is designed for oily, congested skin.

Taking a grape sized amount, you spread this mask onto your face twice a week, then you must wet your hands and the mask turns blue. Now all you do is wait 5 minutes (are you noticing a pattern here? All my masks only take 5 minutes!)

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Cleanser

20140410-110645.jpg

Exfoliating is changing quite rapidly in the beauty industry. As old fashioned, grainy exfoliators are being shown to be too harsh for the skin, acid exfoliators are becoming more popular.

Nip + Fab have jumped onto that bandwagon with a range called Glycolic Fix. I was lucky enough to get my hands onto the daily cleanser and have been using it regularly since. Described as being a foaming facial cleanser with Glycolic and Apple Amino Acids, I kinda panicked at the word foaming. Luckily when this is  applied it hardly foams at all and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry or tight like most foaming cleansers. Already in my good books.

Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream

20140410-113930.jpg

My love for The Body Shop goes way back to when I was a child. My mum would let me and my sister use her strawberry and chocolate flavoured lip balm and since then I’ve been hooked to this iconic brand. If I’m in need of skincare staples, this is the first place I go. So naturally I popped in store when I ran out of moisturiser and wanted something mattyfying. Never failing to please me, I picked up the Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream (along with a few other treats.)

Rodial 5 Minute Facial

20140410-110406.jpg

Face masks are not something I use on a regular basis, not because I don’t like them but because I find it hard making the time for them. But with this mask, there is no excuse!

Designed to be applied for just 5 minutes, this product promises to gently exfoliate and decongest your skin, leaving a youthful glow. Packed with anti- ageing peptides to promote collagen production and Glycolic Acid to exfoliate, this mask seems to do it all! (more…)

Soap and Glory Make Yourself Youthful Sunsheild

20140404-113716.jpg

Remember when you were a kid and your mum would pin you down and slap sunscreen on you, whilst you struggled to get away and play with your friends? Well it seems not a lot changes when you grow up. We’re all in a hurry to get on with our days and like products that combine an SPF in with them.

Lip Balm Barmy

20140319-211635.jpg

Lip balms, the must have arsenal of most beauty lovers. My handbag usually has at least 3 rolling around inside it and I never work without one on me. I wouldn’t call this a list of my favourites, but more of what I’m loving right now. There are others I’d like to try, but I think you’ll agree, I have too many already!

Carmex// Never am I without this little beauty. The only lip balm that will always fix my lips when they are playing up.
