My morning skincare routine has changed hugely in the last 6 months. I’m an oily skinned girl that dreaded the idea of apply moisturisers, as I truly believed they made my skin oilier give me makeup melt down much quicker.
And then I did my research, read some other beauty bloggers advice on skincare (yes I’m talking about the one and only Caroline Hirons!) and my skin has thanked me for it!
I start by washing my face with a non-foaming gel cleanser, like the Una Brenan Neroli Cleanser, this just removes my moisturiser from the night before, along with all that sweat and oil you produce at night. I really like this cleanser, its gentle, smells gorgeous and contains Hyaluronic Acid for an extra moisturising boost. And not to forget, its cheap!
This month I’ve been all about skincare! I came to the revelation that my skin can be improved and I don’t need to live with oily, spotty or scarred skin. So I’ve been following a pretty strict routine and my skin has thanked me for it. I actually really look forward to both my morning and evening skincare routines, as I love how refreshed and polished I feel for it.
I really think this kind of routine should be followed by everybody, using products suitable for you and within your budget.
To say I have a spring in my step (pun intended) over then last few days goes without saying.
The weather here in the UK has been gorgeous. The sun is shining and I can finally leave the house without 10 layers of clothing, wellies and gloves!
This beautiful weather calls for one thing and one thing only, refreshed skin. And with this perfect duo, winter is long forgotten, along with that dull, dry skin.
I have been a huge fan of this luxurious Rituals Whipped Body Butter in the Magic Touch range for quite some time now. Smelling beautifully of Organic Cherry and Rice Milk, this body butter is honestly, like summer in a tub.
I prefer not to wear perfume when I’m wearing this body butter because I just don’t feel the need to, as the scent lasts for hours, which I love. (more…)
Now I’m not one to jump on a band wagon, I like to take a step back and let the hype settle down before I decide wether a product is for me or not. That being said, how could I resist the biggest beauty cult product for years?
Yes, I’m talking about Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm. I’m going to keep this to the point because if you haven’t already heard of this product then you must be living under a rock somewhere in the middle of a desert and have not spoken to a human for at least a year.
If you don’t own a balm cleanser, then go and buy one, seriously. Stop reading and just buy one.
Suitable for all skin types this cleansing balm is rich, smooth and smells gorgeous.
As soon as you begin massaging this into your skin it turns into a luxurious oil. (more…)
It’s time to prepare our hands for the summer, yes girls I said summer. The time of year when that thing called the sun blesses us with heat. I know, I’ve forgotten how that feels too!
Recently my hands have been a total state and I’m sick of it. Regular hand washing at work and the harsh winter weather has not been kind to me.
So it’s time for us to get out our favourite hand creams, banish dry skin and forget about this weather.
I breakout, so I put harsh spot treatments onto my skin, hoping to fix it, which just get worse, so I over cleanse my face, which aggravates it and causes the breakout to go beyond control, which then (more…)
