This weeks foundation Friday is all about the big beauty hit, BB creams! With every cosmetic company and their friends jumping on the bandwagon, the industry has been saturated with these creams. If you don’t know what a BB cream is then firstly where have you been? Secondly, let me tell you all about them. Beauty Balms are basically supped up versions of tinted moisturisers. Usually offering SPF and a heavier coverage, they have blended in well with the zero effort beauty trend of 2014. These days its all about a quick base without the fuss of a full coverage foundation! Foundation Friday is here again, and this weeks foundation is a little bit different.
MAC Studiofix Powder appealed to me after my great experience with the Fluid version. Designed to give a lightweight finish that keeps skin oil free all day, this powder is pretty special.
This foundation promises to control shine with ingredients like Silica, which helps to absorb oil throughout the day. Ingredients like Talc help to give this foundation a velvety, matte finish which looks very natural. Sounds ideal for me! (more…)
Rimmel Match Perfection promises to leave traceless coverage in any light without any telltale makeup lines or makeup mask. From the bathroom to the pub, these products certainly do live up to there description. And here’s a run down of my favourites.
Today marks the beginning on Foundation Friday. 8 weeks of foundation reviews, every Friday, to prepare you for your next foundation purchase. Not because I think you should wear the ones I’m suggesting, but because I know how horrible it is trying to find the right one for your skin type.
So lets kick of Foundation Friday with a bang. MAC Studio Fix Fluid is a foundation that took me some time getting used to but has now become one of my all time favourites.
Packed inside a glass bottle is 30mls of full coverage foundation that applies smoothly on both dry and oily skins.
This foundation goes on quite dewy but sets to a perfect mix of matte and glow. The coverage is full but it doesn’t look strange on the skin or feel too heavy. As with all MAC foundations, its incredibly easy to find the perfect match for your skin colour. Mine being NC15, shamefully pale I know! (more…)
